Hi there. Well there was a comic for today all worked out and almost finished as well until Paint Shop Pro caused an exception and was shut down. Now I can't get it to work anymore. I uninstalled it and fetched the installation CD and tried from scratch but no luck.

Every time I want to create a circle or ellipse with a pixel width of 1 and anti-alias (speech bubbles/hands/etc) it causes an exception and crashes. It's the only graphics package I use. It's version 5 which, I know is out of date but it does the job I need it to, or at least it did.

The only thing I can think of is that I installed my new printer which I bought yesterday. I'm not uninstalling it as it's detected at bootup anyway even when not switched on (USB).

I've been putting it off for a while but I think its time to do a backup and reinstallation of Windows and everything else. This is not the first time that programs have been shut down and wont start again even after a reinstallation.

So until I get this problem resolved there will be no new comics. Sorry.

I couldn't sleep knowing that I would be depriving you of a comic strip so I re-booted my PC and uninstalled the printer. Well it was worth a try right?

It worked. PSP5 now works in all its former glory. However, its going to be annoying reinstalling the printer every time I need to use it so I may be forced to upgrade my graphics package. Unless someone out there has a suggestion as to what might be happening with my set-up and can suggest a solution?

In the meantime, enjoy! :o)
